| GENRESTYLE.COM is the brainchild of Shanna Israel, an innovative clothing and accessories designer who found great success in the fashion industry and has worked with some of the biggest celebrities, musicians, and Hollywood stars. She has been featured in numerous publications over the years including InStyle and People magazine. Shanna was increasingly frustrated with the current era of copycat design in the fashion community, and felt she and her peers were missing out on visibility to new and fresh artistic voices and designs. She was struck by the realization that predictable trends develop organically and achieve large sales, yet the exclusive, innovative work of her fellow designers were having trouble reaching the tipping point between obscure and ubiquitous. Until GENRESTYLE.COM, the potential to globalize these independent brands had still not been fully realized. The challenge presented itself, and Shanna was determined to facilitate the purchase of high quality ultra-limited fresh attire without cheapening the idea of designer fashion or losing the integrity of their work.
Shanna can tell you exactly what motivates her: being the first. The first to rock a fresh new sneaker. The first to be seen with a certain handbag. And the first to network with indie designers as well as consumers so that both may benefit. By working intimately with some of the most forward-thinking designers on every continent, the woman behind GENRESTYLE.COM is able to select the most innovative pieces, made in limited numbers, and present them to the cognizant consumer by way of the web's premier market place, Amazon.com. And as with any community, GENRESTYLE reinvests it's assets into the site to further cultivate and promote the same creativity that fostered it.
GENRESTYLE seeks to reestablish style as something unique and personal to the designer as well as the consumer, regardless of their geographic locale. In the same manner that a hand-made garment is rare, so should be the individual savvy enough to acquire it. |
